After Patrick Galvin got his MBA, he joined his family’s furniture business in California. Eager to help, Patrick rolled out a new six-figure marketing plan and was ready to watch the business soar, but it didn’t.
Stung by the setback, Patrick quickly set out to learn why his plan didn’t work and where all of his customers were. Eventually, he got it right—growing the family business by 300% in just three years.
Patrick discovered that business is built one relationship at a time through meaningful, personal interactions—a lesson he’s spread far and wide over decades as a consultant, speaker, and author.
Patrick Galvin’s book, “The Connector’s Way,” is a parable that leads business leaders through the process of relationship building.
“What Patrick teaches,” says BEATS WORKING host Mark Wright, “starts with gratitude, is founded on the authentic desire to serve others, and results in success you can take to the bank and take to heart.”
This episode is a meaningful conversation between Galvin and Wright that covers everything from their love of Rotary, the service organization, to a particular tire store chain that just does it right.
